How can I tell if my dog has fleas or ticks?
To check your dog for fleas or ticks you need to thoroughly examine your pet’s skin by parting their fur. Fleas often leave behind clues in the form of black debris (blood and fecal remnants). Ticks can be very hard to find as they can be very small, or hide in thick fur. Ticks can be found most commonly around the neck and head and appear stuck to the skin. Dogs may scratch, roll and/or display signs of restlessness due to itching/discomfort.
