Blood Tests for Dogs

The health of your pet can be assessed by blood tests. Blood work is one of the many tools your veterinarian uses to diagnose and monitor disease. Blood work is used in healthy animals as well to establish a baseline, so we can compare and monitor changes in the future.

Why is it important to perform blood tests for dogs?

Blood testing offers you and your veterinarian a glimpse into the internal health of your pet. Liver and kidney function can be measured, bone marrow health can be assessed, as well as thyroid levels among many other things.
